IBI Names Ramsey Shurafa Global Director – Technical Sales

Lima, OH, February 1, 2018International Brake Industries (IBI) today announced Ramsey Shurafa has been named global director of technical sales, effective February 1, 2018.

Shurafa joins IBI after more than 15 years of hands-on experience working with technical products. Most recently, he worked as global sales manager of aftermarket brakes for Wolverine Advanced Materials. Before joining Wolverine, he held sales and engineering positions at Material Sciences Corporation and Federal Mogul.

In his new role, Shurafa will be responsible for growing IBI’s hardware and component accounts, both internationally and domestically. He will report to Andy Mayfield, vice president of sales.

“International expansion is one of IBI’s key objectives for 2018,” said Paul Johnson, president of IBI. “Ramsey will serve a critical role for IBI as we dedicate resources to enhancing and growing our business with customers in Asia and Europe, as well as in North America.”

Shurafa holds an MBA in business management from Wayne State University and a BSE in automotive engineering from Western Michigan University.
