Hella Pagid Still Sponsor of Team “Risi Competizione”

ESSEN, Germany – Hella Pagid, Essen-based brake systems specialist for the independent aftermarket and joint venture of automotive suppliers TMD Friction and HELLA, will continue to support the leading North American racing team “Risi Competizione”.

Last year, Risi Competizione won the 2019 “Petit Le Mans” 10-hour race in Atlanta, USA, with its Ferrari 488 GTE, and driver James Walker took fourth place in the TCR America ranking with the “Hella Pagid – Risi Competizione” Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR. Against this background, Hella Pagid will extend the cooperation to the year 2020.

“The Hella Pagid brand is well-known at the wholesaler and workshop level throughout North and Central America and has a high degree in original equipment expertise which we bring to the spare parts business,” explained Fred Snow, President of Hella Automotive Sales, , Inc., which is responsible for Hella Pagid product distribution in North, Central and South America. “Thanks to the long-standing motorsport success of its sister brand PAGID Racing, Hella Pagid has also a remarkable success story beyond the world of OE production and general automotive repair.

The racing team Risi Competizione is privately managed by Italian Giuseppe Risi and is based in Houston, Texas. In 2020, Risi Competizione will compete with its Ferrari 488 GTE in four of the leading worldwide endurance races: the 24 Hours of Daytona (USA), the 12 hours of Sebring (USA), the 24 hours of Le Mans (France) as well as the 10 hours of “IMSA Petite Le Mans” (USA).
