Frasle Mobility has launched a new phase of its Fremax product circular economy program, now renamed Recycle Max. This initiative promotes the reuse of brake discs and drums and is set to expand its coverage across Brazil.

Key Highlights:

  • Recycle Max involves collecting used brake discs and drums from partner workshops and reincorporating them into production.
  • 10% of the raw materials used in production come from recycled components.
  • In 2023, 343.8 thousand pieces were recycled, saving approximately 2.4 thousand tons of virgin raw material.
  • The program has 1,400 partner workshops and collects an average of 250 tons per month.
  • Recycle Max currently operates in the three states in the South and four in the Southeast of Brazil.
  • All participants receive certification for proper waste disposal.

Frasle Mobility’s Recycle Max program is a significant part of the company’s circular economy efforts, which focus on shared responsibility for product life cycles. This initiative not only promotes sustainability but also aligns with Frasle Mobility’s ESG commitments.

“Increasingly, our companies seek to develop good sustainability practices in their operations and products, in accordance with our ESG commitments. Among them, I highlight the circular economy actions, which encourage shared responsibility for the life cycle of products,” says Anderson Pontalti, COO of Frasle Mobility and corporate leader of the Health, Safety, and Environment area of Randoncorp.

Recycle Max is a testament to Frasle Mobility’s dedication to environmental responsibility. By transforming used brake components into new products, the company significantly reduces the need for virgin raw materials, thereby decreasing environmental impact. The program’s success is evident in its broad reach and substantial contributions to sustainability in the automotive industry.

As Frasle Mobility continues to expand Recycle Max, the program is set to cover more regions, further enhancing its positive environmental impact. This initiative represents a forward-thinking approach to manufacturing and sustainability, setting a benchmark for the industry.
