Carl Lester, Global Product Line Manager at Delphi, emphasized the importance of fast and reliable servicing for workshops and LCV operators during peak seasons, particularly winter. He stated, “We’re committed to ensuring a reliable aftermarket supply of brakes, providing OE-quality replacements for even the newest vans to help operators save both time and money.”

Delphi’s brake pads are manufactured in-house to OE standards, undergoing rigorous testing to ensure consistent quality and performance. Many discs incorporate advanced features, including high carbon content, directional veins, and cross-drilling, mirroring OE specifications.

Winter-Ready Technology

Delphi’s coated brake discs are designed to withstand exposure to road salt, moisture, and dirt, common during winter months. The Geomet anti-corrosion coating is applied to the entire surface, including friction areas and mounting bores, enhancing durability and ensuring the discs maintain optimal braking performance over time.

Independent salt spray tests highlight the robustness of Delphi’s Geomet discs. After 720 hours of exposure, these discs outperformed competitor products, with some rivals showing degradation after just 24 hours. “By resisting corrosion effectively, Delphi discs maintain their braking performance longer, helping fleets stay on the road,” added Carl. “Best of all for workshops, they come ready to install with no cleaning required.”

Delphi’s LCV braking range solidifies its role as an indispensable partner for workshops seeking innovative, high-quality solutions to keep light commercial vehicles on the road.
