Expansion to Support Growth and Efficiency
Founded nearly 50 years ago, DBA has long been recognized for its high-quality braking solutions and its proactive approach to market needs. The brand’s rapid domestic and international sales growth has presented challenges, particularly in the need for more resources and capacity. After operating out of Silverwater for more than 30 years, the company decided to relocate to a larger facility that could better accommodate its expanding operations.
State-of-the-Art Technology
The new Truganina facility not only offers more space but also incorporates best practice logistics technology. By integrating DBA’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with radio frequency (RF) picking and paperless systems, the company is positioned to enhance its efficiency, reduce order processing times, and improve customer satisfaction.
Enhanced Customer Service and Regional Support
With the Silverwater facility being repurposed as the largest of eight state distribution centers in Australia and New Zealand, DBA will provide improved service to its New South Wales customers. This change ensures that DBA remains well-equipped to meet the increasing demands of both its domestic and international clientele.
In the words of David Nolan, Manager of Operations at DBA, “The new facility is a milestone in the development and execution of the business growth strategy of DBA and enables us to service the needs of our national and international customers through modern strategy, brand-new infrastructure and best-practice processes.”
As DBA continues to grow, this move solidifies its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and leadership in the brake segment.
