Sacramento, CA – Mike Eldard of the Akebono Brake Corporation has been appointed to CAWA’s (California Automotive Wholesalers’ Association) Manufacturers’ Advisory Council.
“We are pleased that Akebono will continue in our leadership through Mike’s participation and contributions,” commented Tom Seboldt during the appointment process. “Mike has attended previous CAWA leadership days and is very willing to participate in the Association’s discussions on contemporary industry issues.
“We look forward to his contributions that will assist the Association in achieving its goals as an effective automotive aftermarket industry organization.”

Prior to joining Akebono, Eldard spent 15 years with Cooper Industries Moog Automotive Division where he achieved director of sales status leading the Western Region of the United States growing market share of Moog Chassis, Wagner Brakes and the remaining portfolio of brands within the division.
He started his tenure with Akebono Brake Corporation in 2002 as district sales manager responsible for the Pacific Northwest. From there, Eldard was promoted to Western Regional Sales Manager and then in July 2020 became National sales Manager – Aftermarket.
He enjoys time with his wife Debra, son Michael, daughter Michelle and most of all grandson Jordan as well as good friends. Golf and cooking, especially perfecting Big Green Egg skills, are his passions.
