INDIANAPOLIS – AP Racing will showcase its range of race car and street products, including new brake calipers, at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in Indianapolis from 12-14 December 12-14, 2019.

Visitors to booth 4815 will have the opportunity to view AP Racing’s range of braking products developed for NASCAR and its unique clutch and braking range for Formula 1, where eight teams are using the company’s products this season.

On display will be AP Racing’s new forged GT3 front and rear calipers. Weighing 3kg, these products have been designed with a fixed bridge rather than a bolted bridge, in response to current GT race regulations with minimum pit stop times for endurance races, meaning teams often elect to change the whole braking package during a pit stop.

Pad loading has also been enhanced for more even pressure distribution in the new GT3 calipers. The package envelopes are identical to previous versions, meaning no modifications are required to customer uprights or wheels. The calipers have been created using near-net handed forgings, reducing cycle times and creating pocketing around the piston housing with slots for further weight reduction and cooling.

Finally, also on show will be bespoke calipers designed and manufactured by the British firm for the Bugatti Chiron, demonstrating the company’s prowess in high-specification OEM road-car systems.

Steve Hood, technical sales manager USA at AP Racing, explained: “The PRI show brings together key decision-makers from across the world to view the latest innovations in racing products and race engineering. As is always the case at AP Racing, innovation continues apace and we look forward to sharing some of our latest developments with event visitors. Our emphasis on ‘race to road technology’ means that road customers benefit from the same levels of quality, materials and design as the race sector.”
