AP Racing, a globally recognized leader in brake and clutch technologies, has introduced its latest innovation at SEMA 2024—a new brake caliper designed specifically for electric vehicles (EVs). This new addition expands on the company’s advanced Radi-CALTM technology, known for its outstanding performance and reliability, now tailored for the unique needs of the EV market.
Key Highlights:
- New Radi-CALTM e caliper: Optimized for EVs with low drag efficiency and enhanced braking performance.
- Multiple configurations: Available as a 4 or 6 piston system, featuring aluminium pistons and noise reduction technologies.
- Aesthetic choices: Offered in gloss black, red, silver, yellow, white, and a unique green paint finish.
- Market availability: Orders open from January 2025.
The Radi-CALTM e caliper features a low drag efficiency mechanism that is crucial for electric vehicles, focusing on both performance and efficiency. Inspired by AP Racing’s well-known WR1, WR2, and Mono R product ranges, the new caliper integrates lightweight aluminium pistons and incorporates innovative solutions for noise abatement, addressing key concerns in EV braking.
To add visual appeal, the new caliper comes in a variety of anti-corrosion advanced gloss paint options, including the standard gloss black, red, silver, yellow, white, and an exclusive green variant. This offers flexibility to drivers looking to customize their EV’s aesthetic without compromising on technical performance.
David Hamblin, Managing Director at AP Racing, shared his enthusiasm for the launch: “Launching our brand new Radi-CALTM e range exclusively at SEMA was a fantastic way to showcase one of our latest product innovations. With global EV registrations growing, we want to offer drivers with an off the shelf performance braking solution.”
The Radi-CALTM e will be available for order starting in January 2025, catering to the growing demand for performance solutions in the EV segment. For further information on AP Racing and their pioneering engineering advancements, visit www.apracing.com.
