Farmington Hills, Mich. — November 27, 2018 — Akebono Brake Corporation announces the promotion of Borise Cota to National Sales Manager for the company’s North American Aftermarket Operations. For the last 18 years Cota has led the Western Region as well as oversaw the Canadian market.

“Borise’s aftermarket experience, technological knowledge, history with the company and exemplary relationships with Akebono’s customers make him a natural fit for the national sales position,” said Wilm Uhlenbecker, President and CEO, Akebono Brake Corporation. “We congratulate his past achievements and look for even greater accomplishments in his new role.”

Cota was part of the original sales team when Akebono launched its US Aftermarket division in 2000. He will continue to be based in San Diego, California and report to Russ Stebbins, Director of Aftermarket Business Unit Americas.
