Farmington Hills, MI – December 7, 2018 – Today Akebono announced it has created 192 new part numbers that include Premium Stainless Hardware;   93 Pro-ACT, 86 Akebono Performance and 13 EURO part numbers.

“There was a time, when we didn’t always include hardware with our brake pad kits, no single reason, sometimes it was availability, other times it was sensitivity to pricing, and sometimes we were just matching what the OE (service) kits included”  stated Kirby Pruitt, Product Development Manager, Akebono.   “As the market has evolved, Akebono evolves as well.  Including hardware has been a common practice over the last 6+ years. Our customers have asked us to review some of our applications and identify where premium hardware makes sense; today’s announcement is in response to those requests.”
